Team BMC’s Jordan Sarrou has won the Roc d’Azur. It was his fifth time winning the race at the French coast.
A big attack in the final kilometers of the race was enough to create a gap with the competitors and gave Sarrou enough time to celebrate extensively at the finish line.
After the race, Sarrou said that he really enjoys racing Roc d’Azur. “I only decided last minute to start here. I was sick after I returned from the last World Cup, in Canada.”
“It was out of love for the race this weekend”, Sarrou expressed after his victory. “Winning for a fifth time is special to me. I am really happy with the victory.”
